The initial clean brings the home to a point where it can be regularly maintained. Baseboards, cabinets, ceiling fans, and walls are washed/spot cleaned. Bathroom tiles are scrubbed to remove build-up and kitchen items/appliances degreased.
Maintenance cleans involve maintaining an already initially cleaned home. There is less scrubbing and more dusting and wiping down surfaces. It is sometimes referred to as surface cleaning.
This is for more involved pre- and post-sale or deep cleanings. The scope of work includes all one-time tasks and is expanded to include cleaning inside and behind appliances, washing kitchen cabinets/drawers and inside household closets.
