Frequently Asked Questions
What types of cleaning do you offer?
We offer one-time cleanings for move-in/out, post-construction, special event, and deep cleaning projects, as well as regular recurring services.
How often do you schedule recurring cleanings?
We schedule our cleanings weekly, bi-weekly (every 2 weeks), and monthly (every 4 weeks).
What do you do for a maintenance cleaning?
Maintenance or basic cleanings involve wiping down/dusting surfaces, washing/vacuuming floors, and cleaning bathrooms and kitchens that have previously undergone a thorough initial cleaning. It is keeping up with cleaning before buildup has a chance to set back in.
How do you charge for your services?
We charge a flat rate for all our services, making it easier for you for budgeting and us for billing. The first cleaning will be more expensive because we do a thorough cleaning to prepare the home for maintenance cleanings moving forward.
Do you have a minimum charge for cleaning jobs?
Yes. Our minimum to schedule a cleaning is $100.
Do you do laundry or ironing?
We do not do laundry or ironing, but we will change sheets as an add-on if requested during the walk-through.
Does the first cleaning cost more?
Yes. Or no. It depends! If you have not had your home professionally cleaned in the previous 2 months, we will most likely request that you let us do a complete clean on our first visit. That way we have a clean slate to begin regular maintenance cleanings. If you'd to like to break up the extra tasks into the first two cleanings to spread out the cost, we will do that.
Do you offer hourly services?
We may occasionally offer a package which includes a block of hours, but all recurring services are flat rate.
Are you ok with dogs?
We love dogs that love us! If your dog is prone to aggression or overly distressed by a vacuum, we ask that you contain him/her somewhere else while we are cleaning. Otherwise, we will direct the animals to other rooms as we make our way through the cleaning project.
Do I need to have my pet crated during cleaning?
We ask that you crate your pet only if there is a reason to do so.
Do you have insurance?
We are insured and bonded for your peace of mind as well as ours.
Will I get reminders before my cleaning day?
Customers receive an email reminder two days before their scheduled cleaning, and a text message the day before.
What is included in the first cleaning?
The first cleaning is more in-depth than the following maintenance cleans if you have not had your home professionally cleaned recently. A checklist of initial cleaning tasks is posted here.
Do you schedule jobs on the weekend?
We schedule cleanings Monday – Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm only.
Do you clean summer rental check-outs?
We no longer handle summer rental or Airbnb cleanings.
Do you clean offices?
At this time we are a residential cleaning company only.
Are your cleaning products environmentally safe?
We use eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning products. All of our cleaning products are listed on the products page of our website.
What type of payment do you take?
We accept checks, cash, Venmo, Paypal, or any major credit card.
How does payment work?
Payment is required at the time of service. You may choose to leave cash or a check out for us on cleaning day or we can Venmo or Paypal you the morning of the cleaning. If you prefer to use a credit card, we will securely store your card with Stripe and charge you on the day of service.
Will I have the same day/time every cleaning?
You will normally keep the same day/time for all your cleanings, although we may from time to time ask if it’s convenient for us to reschedule due to unforeseen schedule disruptions.
What happens if I am not happy with my service?
Good news! If you are not 100% satisfied with how your house looks, just let us know within 24 hours and we will come back and reclean the area.
What if I have a special request (my own cleaning products or want extra work done)?
We try to accommodate our customers unique needs and wants. We will work with you to come up with the best option for your situation. If you have extra tasks you’d like done, just let us know at least 48 hours in advance so we can schedule additional time, and let you know what the extra fee will be.
Do you walk dogs or do pet-sitting?
While we are happy to give your animals some attention while we are in your home, we do not walk dogs or do pet-sitting.
Will I get the same cleaners every time?
You will be assigned the same housecleaner each cleaning, however, there may be times when a substitute will be sent if your regular cleaner is out of work. All staff are trained using the same cleaning methods to give uniformity of quality for our customers. Any special instructions for your home are on file for the replacement cleaner to follow.
Do I need to get the house ready before the cleaner arrives?
It is far more efficient for the housecleaner if you pick up around the house before your housecleaner arrives. Unless otherwise arranged, all beds should be made, dishes done, and stray items put away.
What if I need to reschedule my cleaning?
We ask that you contact us at least 48 hours in advance to reschedule your cleaning. If it is within 48 hours and we cannot reschedule the cleaning, you will be subject to a 50% cancelation fee.
Do I need to supply any products or equipment?
No. We bring all equipment and cleaning products with us. Go to the Products page for a list of the cleaning solutions and equipment we use.
Do I need to give you a key or codes to alarm?
We prefer to have a key or door code to prevent lockouts but if you prefer not to furnish one to us, a $50 lockout fee will be assessed if we cannot gain access for any reason.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. It is much easier for us if the house is empty while we clean. If you need to be home, we ask that you try to remain in another part of the house from where we are cleaning, or plan to run your errands or schedule outside appointments for the days you have cleanings scheduled.
Do you require a contract?
No. We require that you read and agree to our Customer Service Agreement before setting up services with us. It outlines our expectations of you and what you can expect from us.
