Simply Organic Cleaning Service ("we" or "us") provides house cleaning in Charlestown, Richmond, Hopkinton and South Kingstown, Rhode Island. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, our booking form and our work in your home, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Booking requests. Our booking form, provided by ZenMaid, asks for your name, phone number, email address, the address of the home to be cleaned, your preferred schedule, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, the approximate size of your home, when it was last professionally cleaned, and any notes you add. It also records whether you agree to receive texts about your booking and occasional marketing messages.

  • Service details. Once you are a client, we keep what we need to clean your home, such as entry instructions, keys or door codes, pet information and your cleaning preferences, along with records of your appointments and payments.

  • Messages. When you call, email or text us, we keep what you tell us so we can respond.

  • Website visits. When you browse our website, cookies collect information about your device and how you use the site, such as the pages you view, your browser type and your general location. See "Cookies and Google Analytics" below.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your request and schedule a walk-through

  • Provide, schedule and confirm your cleanings

  • Send confirmations and reminders by email or text

  • Keep records of our services and your payments

  • Understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it

  • Send occasional marketing messages, only if you opt in

  • Meet our legal obligations

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We share it only as follows:

  • Our cleaners receive the details they need to clean your home, such as your address, entry instructions, pet information and preferences.

  • Service providers help run our business: Wix hosts our website, ZenMaid handles booking, scheduling and appointment messages, and Google provides website analytics.

  • When the law requires it, or when needed to protect the safety of our clients, our staff or others.

Cookies and Google Analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our website is hosted by Wix, which uses cookies to keep the site secure and working properly and to measure how well it runs.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website, such as which pages they view and for how long. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information, and we see it only in summary reports that do not identify you by name. Google Analytics does not log or store IP addresses. We do not use Google Analytics advertising features.

Payments

We do not collect credit card information. Clients pay by cash, check, Venmo, PayPal or Zelle. Payments made through Venmo, PayPal or Zelle are processed by those services under their own privacy policies. We keep a record of each payment we receive.

Keeping your information safe

We keep keys, door codes and other entry information secure and use them only for scheduled cleanings. We take reasonable steps to protect all personal information, but no website, app or storage method is completely secure. We keep information only as long as we need it to serve you, keep business records and meet legal requirements.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you messages. Email or call us using the details below. We may need to keep some records, such as payment records, when the law requires it.

Children and other websites

Our services are for adults, and our website is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Our website links to our Facebook page and to Google Maps. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
