We clean homes across the town: Wyoming, Carolina, Shannock, Kenyon, Alton, Woodville, Barberville, Hillsdale and Wood River Junction. Richmond sits right next to Charlestown, where we are based. Two of its old mill villages, Carolina and Shannock, straddle the town line along the Pawcatuck River, so for many Richmond homes we are practically neighbors.
Richmond is the only town in Washington County that touches neither the ocean nor another county. It is largely rural and home to the 2,359-acre Carolina Management Area. If your home is on a private well and your fixtures show mineral or rust staining, mention it at the walk-through so we can plan for it.
Richmond houses bring more of the outdoors indoors than village houses do. Long drives, mudrooms that earn the name, wood ash in winter, pollen in season, and whatever the dogs carried in. Entryways, mudrooms and floors get extra attention on every visit.
A lot of these houses get cleaned while nobody is home. That only works if you trust the person with the key, which is why you keep the same housecleaner for every visit and your instructions stay on file for anyone covering.
What a cleaning includes
Kitchen, bathrooms, floors vacuumed and washed, surfaces dusted and wiped, using non-toxic products for routine cleaning. You are assigned the same housecleaner each visit, and every cleaner is background checked.
If your home has not had a professional cleaning in a while, the first visit is more thorough than the maintenance visits that follow it.
We also do one-time cleanings, deep cleanings, move-in and move-out cleanings, cleanings before or after an event, and interior window cleaning priced per window.
What it costs
Most recurring cleanings run between $160 and $280 a visit, with a $140 minimum. That is a flat rate agreed after the walk-through, not an hourly charge.
One-time, move-out and deep cleanings vary widely with the size and condition of the house, so we price those after we have seen it. We do not quote by phone.
There is no contract. Change or stop the schedule whenever you need to.

Do you clean in Carolina and Shannock?
Yes. Both villages sit on the line between Richmond and Charlestown, and we clean homes on both sides of it.
Will I have the same cleaner for each visit?
You will be assigned the same housecleaner each cleaning. If your regular cleaner is unavailable a substitute may be sent, and your instructions are on file for them to follow. All of our cleaners are background checked.
Do you clean homes with wood stoves?
Yes. Wood ash settles on nearby surfaces through the winter, so tell us at the walk-through if you burn wood and we will plan for the extra dusting.
Do you offer weekend cleanings?
Yes, on Saturdays. We clean Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and are closed Sundays.
